Advanced Architecture Awards 2025

23-25 APRIL 2025 | IFEMA MADRID

Advanced Architecture Awards 2025

The building sector needs a change of scenery, we are entering a new era of building, the application of technology, sustainable solutions, designing healthier and more energy efficient spaces, are becoming increasingly necessary.

The Advanced Architecture Awards 2025 are intended to recognize the work, leadership and effort of those companies and professionals who are committed to transformation, disruption and innovation. For those that generate new materials, develop alternative products, more efficient equipment, building systems in line with sustainability criteria and operational processes that should help industrialize their production. Also for those that apply technology and digitalization to improve building processes.

Zehnder Award for Product, Material or System Innovation

Lignum Tech presents the Industrialized Structural Wood Facade, an innovative solution that addresses current challenges in construction, such as innovation, digitalization, agility in processes and sustainability.

Baublock has launched the first factory in Spain for HCCA, a lightweight, insulating and sustainable material. With advanced technology and efficient production, it offers high-performance blocks that reduce construction time and energy consumption.

Maindrop is much more than a new faucet concept, since, thanks to the most advanced and innovative technology, it guarantees high water and energy efficiency while providing comfort and user experience.

Fundación Gómez-Pintado Award for Wood Construction Project

Zubi Cities presents a pioneering project that demonstrates the positive impact of the use of wood in construction, from a holistic viewpoint aligned with ESG criteria. Through a methodology based on the Theory of Change, the project rigorously analyzes how each material decision translates into environmental, social and governance benefits, thus building a more regenerative and measurable urban model.

The Oceánika project, Torremolinos, represents an example of urban regeneration, transforming a degraded area into an innovative 180-room aparthotel, through sustainable industrialized construction, giving great prominence to the wooden structure.

Tomás Bretón, the first CO2 Null collective housing building in the center of Madrid, is an innovative project of 20 dwellings with common spaces, designed with an approach based on wood construction as a sustainable and efficient solution.

Thermochip Award for industrialized construction projects

Thermochip Award for the industrialized construction projectThe assignment is to resolve the construction of a building for hotel activity under the operation of an international franchise. The construction reduces CO2 emissions and construction site waste by 60%.

Industrialized construction project with 3D modules: 29 social housing units in Barajas. This building not only boosts energy efficiency and sustainability, but also integrates a bidding system that optimizes time and resources.

The Tarragona Public Passenger Terminal explores modularity and off-site industrialized construction, proposing complex geometries inspired by tradition and the mathematics of plane tessellation.Industrialized construction project with 3D modules: 29 social housing units in Barajas. This building not only boosts energy efficiency and sustainability, it also integrates a bidding system that optimizes time and resources.

Fonsán Award to the Digitalization Project or technological investment in the building sector.

Materiality AI emerges as the disruptive solution that the industry needs. This tool transforms decision making in the initial phase of a project, allowing to compare an immense amount of data in real time.

El Corte Inglés is immersed in a digitalization process by which it is progressively generating BIM models of its centers. It already has more than 4,000,000 square meters digitized and will add another 2,000,000 square meters over the next two years.

Woodie 1 is Woodea’s first building system, conceived under a product logic to transform architecture into an industrialized process. Designed with a Design & Build approach and based on a platform of components, it allows scaling sustainable, affordable and high quality housing solutions. Thanks to the use of technical wood, Lean methodology and BIM technology, Woodie 1 offers an efficient and replicable response to the current challenges of the sector.

AEDAS Homes Design Project Award
