Change the mindset of the AECO sector: the New Innovation Policies in Spain 2023-2027

The implementation of PERTEs (Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation), Tax Equity and Tax Lease can be key tools to drive this transformation. PERTEs focus on strategic initiatives that promote economic recovery and transformation towards a more sustainable economy. In the AECO sector, they could support innovative and sustainable projects, encouraging the adoption of advanced practices and disruptive technologies. But how many do we have in our sector? Tax equity can encourage investment in sustainable projects. Offering tax benefits to companies committed to innovation and sustainability could stimulate the adoption of more advanced practices in the AECO sector. But do we have these incentives in place? Tax Lease contracts could facilitate the acquisition of innovative technologies. By allowing companies to lease technological assets with tax benefits, it is easier to update equipment and adopt more efficient solutions in the sector. To change the mindset in the AECO sector, it is crucial to promote awareness about the long-term benefits of innovation and sustainability, promote continuous training to adapt to new technologies and practices, and facilitate access to funds and resources for the implementation of innovative solutions.
